Premier takes care about the human development of the company: behind every success there is always a close-knit team that works with passion to achieve a common goal.

For this reason we have decided to talk to the protagonists of Premier, the people who, every day, contribute, with their knowledge and their personalities, to the growth of the company. Today's protagonist is Christian Barausse.

Tell us about yourself. What is your role in the Premier and what are your main responsibilities?

I'm Cristian Barausse and my role in Premier is Production Manager of the squaring tools.

I have been in the Premier since June 2007: I remember this date well, because after a few months I became a father.

My arrival in the Premier was not accidental: I already knew this reality because, previously, I worked as a manager in a metalworking company that operated in PREMIER's field. Once I met Mr. Garbin, he told me he needed someone with my background an characteristics to join their company. Soon I made my decision and started working for Premier. Together we have equipped new departments, thus controlling the entire production chain within our factories, guaranteeing product quality and flexibility.

Nowadays, I manage the organization of staff and everything related to the processing phases, from the raw materials procurement to the management of manufacturing orders, up to the control of the phases.

How was your passion born? What's your school background?

I'm graduated in technical design and my passion for motorcycles has made mechanics an integral part of my work.

I have never looked for an office job: on the contrary, I was looking for a job that would allow me to apply and develop my mechanical knowledge, getting my hands dirty every day.

Why did you choose to work in the Premier? Which aspects of the Premier mission and vision are closest to your way of perceiving work and professional growth?

Premier is a great reality, which has always intrigued and thrilled me for the variety of products and processes applied. It is the fusion of mechanics, chemistry and sintering.

The continuous research, creation and testing of new tools always stimulates interest in new challenges and this is the corporate mission that satisfies me the most.

Are there any particular anecdotes from your career that have left their mark and that you would like to tell us?

In recent years I have collected many anecdotes and I could tell a lot, but I want to say one in particular, which concerns my response to those who ask us what we do in the company.

I enjoy comparing our work to that of famous pastry chefs who choose the best ingredients, knead, bake and then garnish, awaiting the judgment of their customers with satisfaction.

Stop talking about work ... Do you have any hobbies and special interests? What do you like to do when you are not in the Premier?

I have many hobbies: sports, travel ... but my first passion are engines, in particular the historic Laverda motorcycles which fortunately I own.

I am fascinated by history, especially the period of the world wars. I am part of the National Carabinieri Association, being a retired carabiniere, as well as of the Historical Uniforms Association, with which I participate in historical re-enactments from time to time.

Last but not least, as Veneto doc I am passionate about good wine and vineyards and I have recently obtained the title of sommelier.
