Innovating also means "doing old things in a new way" (cit. J.A.S.)

Breaking a pattern to change a paradigm, an idea or simply a habit is to make innovation.

In Premier, renewing ideas, replacing old schemes with new and more sparkling solutions is…. the only habit we never change.

And with this mind of continuous innovation, PREMIER has developed three innovative tools that maximize the productivity and quality of tiles and planks produced with the new high-productivity lines:

  • The Biturbo grinding wheel that guarantees a high removal power allowing you to work at 60 linear meters per minute and at the same time ensures long life avoiding tool changes and machine stops;
  • The Resimet wheel which, in a single wheel, combines roughing and finishing, maintaining the measurement and drastically reducing the frequency of tool changes;
  • The Resimet chamfer, which keeps the chamfering line unchanged even at speeds of 60 linear meters per minute.

The combination of these three wheels in a high-speed line reduces costs per square meter and significantly increases the quality of the finished product, further reducing second choice and waste.

BITURBO wheels break the rigid and consolidated pattern of the removal of material for grinding by introducing for the first time the concept of milling or controlled breaking, in the first positions of the roughing squaring machine.

By milling and not grinding, we can maximize the squaring machine yeld, overcoming the limits known so far.

Made by combining and assembling in a single body of 2 grinding wheels suitable for heavy roughing, the BITURBO is able to remove a higher quantity of material than standard grinding wheels while keeping the "measurement" constant, limiting operator intervention to a minimum.

The structure of the grinding wheel consists of an external turbo wheel with inclined sectors and a grinding wheel fixed inside, again in inclined sectors with outlets that form a star.

The design of the exhausts engraved on the bands has been studied to obtain the maximum removal by eliminating the risk of breakage in the first positions of the squaring machine and also allows a controlled milling without chipping.

The presence of the exhausts allows the grinding wheel to work at a constant temperature, without overheating, which allows the squaring machine to maintain a stable and continuous cutting measure over time.

The constant working temperature avoids abnormal thermal expansions, often cause of many problems and waste of material

The advantages of the BITURBO wheel are the following:

  • Superior duration: it does not lose the measure and therefore it lasts much longer than the best wheels on the market
  • The cost per m2 is lower, because it lasts longer and also reduces the costs of machine stops
  • Despite its aggressive "appearance", it reduces noise by 50%

Another innovation that breaks old pre-set and limiting schemes is the “RESIMET” wheel.

With this wheel Premier has put together the metal that is known to keep costs down and the resin that improves finish and performance, strength and softness in one tool.

The Resimet wheel, which is built by incorporating a metal and a resin component in a single body, is proposed as a pre-finishing wheel in a rather critical position on the line because, in sequence, it is in the first position in the part dedicated to finishing.

The RESIMET wheel makes the squaring line much more manageable and reliable because it has a very long life and keeps the "measure" of the gauge constant for a long time.

The metal component of Resimet follows the grinding wheels and the resinoid part comes from the long experience that Premier has in squaring resins, having been the first to introduce resins in Squaring.

Last but not least of the recent Premier innovations in squaring, we propose the Resimet chamfer, which suddenly solves a serious problem in squaring: the need to constantly adjust the size of the grinding wheel used for chamfering.

This is a fact that many people neglect, but it often happens that a tile has to be downgraded because of the low performance of the chamfer, and this causes significant economic losses. Instead, with the Resimet Premier chamfer, which has a duration of 4 or 5 times the traditional chamfer, you send to zero the second-choice tiles, referred to irregularities in the chamfering.
