Premier takes care about the human development of the company: behind every success there is always a close-knit team that works with passion to achieve a common goal.

For this reason we have decided to talk to the protagonists of Premier, the people who, every day, contribute, with their knowledge and their personalities, to the growth of the company. Today's protagonist is Gianluca Graziani.

Tell us about yourself. What is your role in the Premier and what are your main responsibilities?

My role in Premier is as head of technical assistance and product development and it is a job with enormous responsibility regarding the constant contact with the customer and the continuous requests for new tools which can solve various machining problems.

Fortunately, I have a company by my side and collaborators who constantly support me.

How was your passion born? What's your school background?

Since when I was young, I have always been fascinated by both mechanical and electrical development, in fact my school address was the mechanical technical institute. I worked as a miller and sheet metal worker but I made the jump in my career by joining a ceramic producer where I started as a simple line operator and then moved on as an electro-mechanical maintenance technician and finally as vice-Head of Department. This path, which trained me on various tasks, gave me the opportunity to understand problems quickly and consequently solve them.

Why did you choose to work in the Premier? Which aspects of the Premier mission and vision are closest to your way of perceiving work and professional growth?

I was hired in Premier about 5 years ago and initially it was a bet with myself because it is a very different job from what I was used to. Being able to create tools with excellent and competitive performance is a very difficult job that only a close-knit and compact team can successfully complete, I do not hide the fact that when you hit the target it is a source of great pride and new motivation.

Are there any particular anecdotes from your career that have left their mark and that you would like to tell us?

There are many anecdotes but in particular I remember my years spent in ceramics where I met many people who, having no great work experience, invented archaic tricks to make the line working in any condition, and finish their shift. In particular, I remember a colleague who spent the whole night shift turning the tiles by hand between the two grinding machines because he didn't know how to adjust the automatic-roller. Crazy!!

Stop talking about work ... Do you have any hobbies and special interests? What do you like to do when you are not in the Premier?

I am fond of music and in particular I play the guitar so, in my free time, which is less and less, I enjoy playing alone at home with the classical guitar or with my friends the electric one.
